Everything you need to know about KRONYQL β fees, AI policy, sovereign ranks, vaults, governance, and more.
π General
What is KRONYQL?
+
KRONYQL is a human-first music vault marketplace. Artists upload tracks into tamper-proof vaults, set their own prices, and keep 85β95% of revenue. Every upload is verified for AI content, timestamped on-chain, and protected by three AI agents β Dunbar, Scout, and Barrister.
How is KRONYQL different from Spotify or Bandcamp?
+
Unlike streaming platforms, KRONYQL is a direct-sale marketplace. There are no opaque royalty pools or pay-per-stream fractions. Artists set prices, fans buy directly, and the Smart Splitterβ’ distributes revenue atomically at the point of sale. Plus, KRONYQL offers built-in AI content protection, sovereign rank progression, and community governance β none of which exist elsewhere.
Is KRONYQL available now?
+
KRONYQL is currently in beta. You can join the waitlist as an artist, patron, or label. The first 100 artists receive permanent founding benefits including locked-in fee overrides.
What genres are supported?
+
All genres are welcome. KRONYQL supports rock, blues, jazz, country, hip-hop, electronic, classical, world music, and everything in between. The genre browser lets fans explore by style, mood, and era.
As you earn Keys through sales, uploads, and community participation, you climb ranks and your fee drops. Founding Sovereigns lock in at 10β13% regardless of rank.
Are there any hidden fees?
+
No. The Smart Splitterβ’ shows every split in real time β artist share, platform fee, collaborator splits, and AI Tax (if applicable). There are no hidden charges, no per-stream deductions, and no "recoupable" advances. What you see is what you get.
How fast do I get paid?
+
48-hour settlement, powered by Stripe Connect. Every split executes atomically at the point of sale β no 90-day royalty cycles, no "minimum payout" thresholds.
What are the Founding Fee tiers?
+
The First 100 Artists program has four founding tiers with permanent fee locks:
Genesis (Artists 1β10) β 10% fee forever
Pioneer (Artists 11β25) β 11% fee forever
Vanguard (Artists 26β50) β 12% fee forever
Founding (Artists 51β100) β 13% fee forever
These overrides never increase, even if the standard rank system changes.
π€ AI Policy & AI Tax
What is the AI Tax?
+
The AI Tax is a levy applied to any upload with detected AI content. The formula is simple: 5% tax for every 1% of AI detected. The schedule is:
0% AI β 0% tax (fully human, no penalty)
1% AI β 5% tax
5% AI β 25% tax
10% AI β 50% tax
19% AI β 95% tax
β₯20% AI β REJECTED (file refused at upload β you'd have made $0 anyway and polluted the ecosystem)
There is no financial incentive to upload AI-generated content. The 5Γ multiplier ensures the tax destroys your profits well before reaching the rejection threshold.
What happens if my file is over 20% AI?
+
It's rejected outright. The upload is refused and never enters the marketplace. At 20% AI you'd be paying 100% of your revenue in tax anyway β you would have made $0. Nothing at or above 20% AI is permitted on the platform. This is a hard limit β there are no exceptions or appeals.
How does AI detection work?
+
The Dunbar Calibrationβ’ engine analyzes every upload through a 6-layer defense system:
Spectral fingerprinting
AI watermark detection
Temporal consistency analysis
Neural pattern matching
Cross-reference against known AI model outputs
Results are returned within seconds. Human-verified tracks receive a HUMAN_VERIFIED badge; files with trace AI get labeled accordingly.
Where does AI Tax revenue go?
+
AI Tax revenue flows into the Community Chest as platform credits. These credits subsidize AI agent services (Dunbar, Scout, Barrister) for all artists β so the more AI content gets taxed, the more human artists benefit.
Signed Attestation β A legally binding digital declaration that you are the rights holder or authorized contributor
ISRC/ISWC Cross-Reference β Automatic checks against international standard recording and works codes to catch duplicate registrations
Collaborator Confirmation β If you list co-writers or featured artists, they receive a confirmation request to validate the split
Catalog Database Matching β Cross-references against known catalogs and distributor databases to identify pre-existing rights claims
What happens if someone disputes my ownership?
+
If a dispute is filed, the track enters a 72-hour review window. During this period, the track remains in your vault but transactions are paused. Both parties can submit evidence (session files, contracts, collaboration agreements). If the dispute is not resolved, it escalates to the community governance system for arbitration. False claims carry penalties including rank reduction and possible account suspension.
Do I need an ISRC code to upload?
+
No β an ISRC is optional but recommended. If you have one, KRONYQL uses it to cross-reference existing registrations and strengthen your ownership claim. If you don't, the system relies on the other verification layers (attestation, collaborator confirmation, catalog matching). You can always add an ISRC later.
What is chain-of-title documentation?
+
Chain of title is the complete history of ownership for a musical work β from original creation through any transfers, licenses, or collaborator agreements. KRONYQL builds this automatically as an immutable, timestamped record in your vault. Labels and publishers reviewing your catalog can verify provenance instantly.
π Sovereign Ranks
How do Sovereign Ranks work?
+
There are 8 ranks from Aspirant to Paragon. You earn Keys through sales, uploads, community engagement, and governance participation. As you accumulate Keys, your rank rises and your platform fee drops from 15% down to 5%. See all tiers on the Sovereign Ranks page.
What are Keys?
+
Keys are KRONYQL's loyalty and progression currency. You earn them by selling tracks, uploading verified content, voting in governance, and completing achievements. Keys determine your rank and unlock features like bulk uploads, royalty analytics, early access, and governance voting weight.
Can my rank ever go down?
+
No. Sovereign Ranks are permanent. Once you reach a tier, you never lose it β even if you stop uploading. However, leaderboard positions are dynamic and based on recent activity.
ποΈ Vaults
What is a Vault?
+
A Vault is a tamper-proof digital container for your music. Each vault holds tracks, metadata, ownership splits, AI verification records, and an immutable audit trail. There are specialized vaults for artists, labels, publishers, songwriters, and full catalogs.
How do I upload a track?
+
Use the Upload Portal. Drag and drop your file, fill in metadata and collaborator splits, and submit. The upload passes through the 6-layer defense system β fingerprinting, AI detection, ownership verification, behavioral analysis, fast heuristics, and the Dunbar Calibrationβ’ β within seconds. You'll receive your AI score and verification badge immediately.
What file formats are supported?
+
KRONYQL accepts WAV, FLAC, AIFF, and high-bitrate MP3 (320kbps). Lossless formats are recommended for the best AI detection accuracy and vault fidelity. Maximum file size is 500MB per track.
π³οΈ Governance & Community Chest
What is the Community Chest?
+
The Community Chest is KRONYQL's credit-based fund that powers AI agent services and platform development. It's fueled by AI Tax revenue β the tax on uploads with detected AI content. Artists vote on how credits are allocated through the governance system.
How does voting work?
+
Artists with Steward rank or above can vote on Community Chest proposals. Voting weight scales with your rank β higher-rank artists have more influence. Proposals include things like new AI agent features, credit allocation priorities, and platform policies.
π‘οΈ Security & Trust
How is my music protected?
+
Every upload passes through a 6-layer defense system: acoustic fingerprinting, AI watermark detection, ownership verification, behavioral analysis, fast heuristics, and the Dunbar Calibrationβ’. Your vault is tamper-proof and maintains an immutable audit trail of every access and transaction.
Who are the three AI agents?
+
Dunbar β The copyright sentinel. Detects AI content, verifies originality, and assigns trust labels.
Scout β The discovery engine. Connects fans to artists based on taste, mood, and listening patterns.
Barrister β The contract analyzer. Scans licensing terms, flags unfavorable clauses, and protects artists in deals.
All three are subsidized by Community Chest credits β they work for artists, not platforms.
Is my data private?
+
Yes. KRONYQL follows privacy-by-design principles. Your personal information is never sold or shared with third parties. Revenue data, vault contents, and analytics are only visible to you and your designated collaborators. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
